[Aerith's done her best to get a couple days where she and Tifa can have some peace and quiet, aside from Clover anyway, which has meant trying to adjust some schedules as she adjusts to what seems like a new 'normal.' It's shaky ground at best, but...
[As thanks for the time that Tifa helped him with his hair, he thought it appropriate to give her something she could possibly use for her own. Inside a gift bag wrapped neatly is a hair accessory and a note.]
Dear Tifa,
Starlight is upon us and it is customary to give gifts to friends, so I wanted to give you one as well. I hope you are doing well and have a wonderful day.
[Mirai did her best to make Tifa a gift once she found out about Christmas. Although the necklace looked like a child made it, she did her best. She just hopes that Tifa will like it.]
Hello Tifa,
I'm new to this holiday but I couldn't pass up such a nice tradition.
[Having already made one delivery to Oriphi's place, Tifa is the next on Beatrix's to-do. Tracking her down proves to be about as difficult as the first, and it dawns on her that perhaps it would be more convenient to provide a list of residences and occupants. Although with that comes the potential of encroaching on one's personal territory. After all, Beatrix has very deliberately not informed anyone of where she's staying to prevent such a thing. Yet people have managed to pay her visit all the same.
[It admittedly took her a little while to happen to run across Tifa's number. With the whole bounty-hunter thing, and her job (which she theoretically was doing most days. Bah, responsibilities.), she had been a bit busy lately. But remembering her from the geta competition, she'd been curious to see how the bartender was doing.]
Hey, it's Tenshi. From the other day. Didn't see you in the rolls over at Tamamo, so I'm guessing you're with one of the other outfits? here's hoping you got lucky and it's not Shuten, heh.
Nah, they're not THAT bad. But I like messing with them.
[ Susato knowing where her friends live means she can easily sneak over when she thinks no one is looking, like some old-timey Victorian Santa Claus. Case in point: one morning, within the week of Christmas, Tifa and Eustace will wake up to find that there is a rather large gift at their doorstep, wrapped in very Susato-flavored pink and purple colors. The box is pretty light, all things considered, and attached is a note on a tag that's shaped like a cherry blossom flower: ]
To: Mr and Mrs Lockhart Happy Christmas! I hope you enjoy the gifts, but I suspect that a certain culprit may enjoy it more than even you. [ WHO DOES SHE MEAN? They're free to decide. ] Just don't allow the pups to chew them up too badly, please. They are too cute to be destroyed!
Love, Susato Mikotoba
[ When they open the box, it will be immediately obvious what she means, as they will find a set of large, fluffy corgi pillows staring back at them. There aren't 13, but there are more than enough.
There isn't even much room for any paper filling, but at the bottom of the box, there's a smaller box especially labeled for Tifa. Inside, she will find a set of yellow pens topped with what look like yellow lilies. The texture of them feels exactly like the real flower--and they glow in the dark, too.
When she writes with them, the ink comes out in whatever colour she may need or imagine. Eustace can borrow one sometimes, if he needs it... she guesses.
(It's up to Tifa.) ]
Edited (FORGOT I HAD A LINK FOR THIS) 2022-12-25 18:50 (UTC)
[It's a very casual day when Nier reaches out to Tifa over the journals. He could, he supposes, just go track her down somewhere, but he also knows it wasn't so long ago that she got married to Eustace. Perhaps he's just trying to give the couple as much husband and wife time together as he can.
But now is the time. It's now or never!]
Hey. You like flowers?
[That's right. That's how he's starting this. He's so smooth.]
[ Carefully placed beside Tifa's pillow in her room will be a neatly decorated bag , it's contents containing small, heart shaped chocolates still warm in the wrapping. The designs are unique to every one; the handmade designs ranging from small smiles, dog faces, and even starflowers placed upon it's flat surface.
Attached to the bag is a card, decorated front to back with bright colors. On the back however, is a small crayoned drawing of a cafe with the simple words written in bright pink:]
Happy Valentine's Day Tifa ♡
For a very special someone on a very special day! Thank you for all of your kindness and love that you have shown me. I am so grateful that I am able to get to know you. I made these chocolates to represent just how sweet you are!
[ Shortly following the events of this thread, Lyria will sheepishly seek out Tifa and approach her when she finds the woman in her room. ]
Um, excuse me... [ The blue haired girl will call from the door as she pokes her head inside, but won't step in just yet. She's suddenly feeling a little nervous to even enter. ]
[It's fairly late— Aerith wishes she had thought ahead and asked Tifa earlier, especially considering they'd spent the entire day together at work, but in her defense, she hadn't been unable to sleep then, and still uncertain of whether or not she wanted to say anything.
She knows she's been out of sorts the last short while. Her cheer has been just a little too forced, or her mind has been caught wandering a little too often, but she wasn't the only one who was acting differently. If there was anyone she could share her thoughts and worries with, it was Tifa. She'd been mulling them over on her own for long enough.]
[It had been a few days after returning from his venture with the Rosfield brothers, and it was...quite the venture. Despite the difficulties with the noctaere and nostilium, at least they were successful in destroying it. And while there had been concerns about his own "infection" of the nightmare energy, after the treatment from Orkili he felt no different than other times when he was exposed to or used a large amount of nostilium.
Still, Tifa's concerns were legitimate and he was careful to monitor himself and take additional supplements made by the flowers thanks to 76. But fortunately, he felt nothing unusual. His dreams were normal, if he had any at all (which was also not unusual), and other than feeling a little in the first few days, after the third he felt more himself.
But there was one odd thing.
Every now and then he would feel a prick in the back of his neck, a cold tingle as if ice was suddenly dropped down the back of his shirt. It was more noticeable than before, and whenever Tifa noticed he would just shake his head in confusion as it would go as quickly as it came. A bug, he would suggest, or perhaps a pinched nerve. Reasonable, and he would often forget it happened because it was once every few days. And since he tends to read a lot, well, maybe it was a pinched nerve of sorts and he should fix his posture.
But then a week passes since the trip, and now...]
...Ugh...
[Late into the night, Eustace groans in his sleep, brows furrowing as his body curls into himself. Naturally he's holding Tifa, so she'll feel him shift and move, his arms tightening around her as his breathing becomes labored and heavy.
Most alarming of all, however, will be the growing coldness that seeps from beneath is body and spreads outward across the bed. Valo and Melody, who had jumped onto it to sleep at the end as always bark in surprise and fear, jumping down as soon as that ice creeps towards their paws. Eria, sleeping in her bed on Eustace's side rises and growls lowly.
By now Tifa will surely have awakened, but Eustace?
Still trapped asleep...
...
With chips of black ice slowly forming along his shoulder and near the back of his neck...]

Merry Christmas.
Mail Delivery
Convenience or privacy...
Tifa will find outside of her door, a painstakingly wrapped giftbox. Its contents include flower-themed butter cookies, sakura-shaped sugar cookies, one white rose crown, and a missive written in the kind of scripting one would likely expect from a woman like Beatrix.]
Tifa,
The flower festival may be over, yet I retrieved these around that time, courtesy of the Wild Harvest and one Susato Mikotoba.
Thank you for your assistance with the flower crown I had requested not on my behalf. I believe I owe you precisely one outing.

Now while not impressive, Vanitas has been trying to do things with his hands.
Because she helped him out, a gift will be given in return. Partially so she knows what he has been working on. And as a thank you. ]
