[the chocobo being extra affectionate does pull cloud away from his own wave of thoughts. he looks a little flustered—like how dare this adorable creature try to rid him of his 'cool' factor—and also a little confused as to why it's reacting that way. he's not exceptionally good with animals, which is why he offers it an awkward rubbing on the beak as it nuzzles into his hand.]
